Why It's Okay That No One Gives a Sh*t About Your Business Right Now

Hi there!

Thanks for being here today! Every Tuesday I post resource information about a collection of useful topics to help you strategize and grow your empires! Last week I shared My LIVE Real Talk Interview On Kitchen Table Talk And this week I'll be talking about why it's okay that no one gives a sh*t about your business in the beginning.

The hardest thing about being an entrepreneur is putting in the hustle day after day and waiting for the world to notice you.

While this can make it hard to keep on keeping on, there's a reason you need to have your practice runs in a relative confinement.

Sometimes life just takes a while to develop, and no matter how hard you push things and hustle, for whatever reason unknown to you, it's just not the right time for things to work.

Pushing and forcing does not work as a long term strategy for success, progress and growth. You can't force anything to happen, and you can't force people to buy from you, the only thing you can do is switch your mentality to a better perspective.

The only thing you can do control is your mentality, and the way you think of the process of waiting for success to happen.

Learn to be obsessively grateful for where you are now instead of focusing on what you're lacking in the present.

Instead of associating waiting with discomfort, you must train your brain to appreciate the present and look towards the future with excitement and optimism.

Of course, continue to get things done and work your ass off.

Yes, of course you're hustling, that's obvious.

But don't obsess over when things have to happen for you. It takes experimentation to figure out how you work best. Just put in the work and let life unfold as it's supposed to.

As Austin Kleon says in one of my favorite books 'Steal Like An Artist':

"...you want attention only after you're doing really good work. There's no pressure when you're unknown. You can do whatever you want. Experiment. Do things just for the fun of it. When you're unknown, there's nothing to distract you from getting better. No public image to manage. No huge paycheck on the line. No stockholders. No e-mails from your agent. No hangers-on. You'll never get that freedom back again once people start paying attention to you, and especially not once they start paying you money. Enjoy your obscurity while it lasts. Use it."

So, in the meantime - think back to high school, college or other times in your life that seemed to drag on. You probably thought it would all never end either. But if you look back now you'll see how it all came and went, and faster than you probably realized at the time.

You may even miss some aspects of those times now.

For now, work because you enjoy what you do and the rest will come when it's supposed to.

Hustle your heart out, and just be where you are when you are.

Remember, passion & grace will take you places just hustling can't.

But until then, keep hustling!
